MicroSIP Softphone Configuration for Callsavvy

This guide provides the necessary steps to download and configure the MicroSIP softphone to make and receive calls through your Callsavvy SIP account. These settings ensure proper connectivity and successful audio transmission, especially when operating behind a firewall (NAT).

Step 1: Downloading and Installing MicroSIP

MicroSIP is primarily developed for Windows.

For Windows Users (Recommended)

  1. Open a web browser and navigate to the official MicroSIP website. You can usually find this by searching for "MicroSIP download."

  2. Download the latest version (usually labeled as "MicroSIP Lite" or the full version). We recommend the non-install version (ZIP archive) if available, as it requires no installation process.

  3. Extract the contents of the downloaded ZIP file to a folder on your computer (e.g., in your Downloads or Program Files folder).

  4. Run the application by double-clicking the MicroSIP.exe file.

For Android and Mac Users (Alternatives)

MicroSIP is not officially available for Android or Mac. If you are using these platforms, you will need to use a different SIP softphone client. We recommend:

  • Android: Linphone .

  • Mac: Linphone .

The settings (SIP Server, Username, Password, Media Encryption, etc.) provided in the steps below are transferable to these alternative clients.

Step 2: Create an SIP Account on Callsavvy (If not already done)

Before you proceed, you will need to create an SIP account from your Callsavvy workplace. Skip this step if you already created an SIP account to use with your MicroSIP.

  1. Login to your Callsavvy workplace as a Super Admin.
  2. From the main menu, Navigate to Admin & Settings --> Business Settings.
  3. Select SIP Account then click the Create New SIP Account button and follow the screen to add a new account.
